USB to digital level interface modules
Future Technology Devices International (FTDI) have launched a new series of USB to digital level interface modules that enable USB interconnection into legacy equipment without alteration of the enclosure.
The series included the DB9-USB-D3-F (3.3 V output female connector), DB9-USB-D3-M (3.3 V output male connector), DB9-USB-D5-F (5 V output female connector) and DB9-USB-D5-M (5 V output male connector).
The modules use FTDI’s FT232R USB to serial UART bridge chip, which can support data rates of 12 Mbits/s.
They can function within a temperature range of -40–85 °C and use a standard USB mini-B connector.
Key product features
- Packages are 30.8mm x 19.8mm x 11.5mm
