ON Semiconductor launches transceivers for automotive and industrial network designs

ON Semiconductor

NCV7425 and NVC7441 transceivers

ON Semiconductor has introduced two integrated transceiver devices for use in local interconnect network (LIN) and control area network (CAN) designs in automotive and industrial applications.

Both the NCV7425 LIN low-dropout transceiver and the NVC7441 dual-CAN transceiver provide a space-saving solution for next-generation automotive ‘convenience’ applications as well as LIN- and CAN-based industrial designs.

The NCV7425 — which features an integrated voltage regulator and reset functionality — is available in 3.3V and 5V output options and supports loads of up to 150mA.

The NCV7441 integrates two fully independent high-speed CAN transceivers that can be individually connected to two CAN protocol controllers; the CAN channels can be separately put to normal or low-current standby mode in which remote wake-up from the bus is possible.
