Bluetooth BTM 440/441/442/443 wireless data modules
Laird Technologies has released the Bluetooth BTM 440/441/442/443 wireless data modules, which offer multiple profiles on a single module and can be used for more than just point-to-point Bluetooth connections.
Available in either AT command or Multipoint API modes, these products are designed to meet the demands of people looking for a simple way to add Bluetooth profiles into their systems.
The Serial Port profile enables the use of devices such as a mouse or a keyboard wirelessly, while the Human Interface Device (HID) profile mimics a serial cable, eliminating the need for a RS-232 standard cable.
The third profile is the Health Device profile, which allows a wireless connection between medical devices such as weighing scales in order to download data.
Key features
- Meets full FCC, CE and Bluetooth SIG approvals
- Complies with the Bluetooth 2.1 standard
- Includes the IEEE specialisation for weigh scales
- Multipoint API mode supports up to seven connected slave devices
