LTC100 serial converter
Sena Technologies has released the LTC100 serial converter, which converts RS232 signals to RS422 or RS485 signals and vice versa.
This allows the user to use RS422 or RS485 on systems originally equipped with RS232, without changing the hardware or software of the legacy systems.
RS422/RS485 mode can be selected by slide switch.
RS422 mode supports up to 10 devices and RS485 mode supports up to 32 devices.
Maximum communication distance is 1.2km and maximum serial speed is 921.6Kbps.
The LTC100 is compatible with PC serial COM port.
The LTC100 is port-powered; an optional external DC power supply is also available.
It is equipped with a built-in surge protector up to 15kV.
The LTC100 supports RTS auto toggling.
