Programming the multi-axis control systems for robots has traditionally been a complex and laborious task. Robots can be programmed using teach-and-learn methods, but these require a lot of fine tuning to achieve the perfect path. Delcam’s Powermill Robot allows users to program robots with external axes as easily as they can program a five-axis NC machine. Accurate 3D simulation shows exactly how the robot will behave.

Delcam will preview its new set of pre-processing software tools for manufacture by 3D printing/additive manufacturing at the TCT Show to be held at the NEC, Birmingham, on 30 September and 1st October.
The latest release of Delcam’s PowerINSPECT inspection software will be demonstrated at the GTMA’s Make Measurement Matter event at the Kettering Conference Centre on 15 October.
Delcam will demonstrate the latest releases in its range of manufacturing software at the Advanced Engineering exhibition to be held in Birmingham on 4 and 5 November. New releases will be on show of the modelling-for-manufacture CAD system, PowerSHAPE, the PowerMILL CAM system for high-speed and five-axis machining, the FeatureCAM feature-based programming system and the PowerINSPECT inspection software.
At the TCT exhibition to be held at the NEC, Birmingham, on 30 September and 1 October, Delcam will demonstrate a series of enhancements to its PowerSHAPE Pro software for modelling and reverse engineering that will help users to complete complex designs more quickly and more easily.
The On-Machine Verification (OMV) version of Delcam’s PowerINSPECT inspection software has proven itself to be ‘an invaluable tool’ according to process application engineer Stewart Seedhouse, from the Makino-NCMT grinding division. The technology saves both Makino-NCMT and its customers considerable amounts of time and money.
