Siemens PLM software’s NX8 product development suite is suitable for use within the machinery industry for computer-aided design, manufacturing and engineering analysis (CAD/CAM/CAE).
NX8 uses ’part modules’ technology to simplify the modelling and editing of complex designs, and enable users to divide designs into areas that allow development by multiple designers.
The software also has capabilities for feature-based modelling, sheet metal, patterning, freeform design, routed systems and visualisation, and the software can deal with a wide range of geometric modelling problems.
Additionally, the suite allows a range of pattern layouts to be created, including linear, polygon, along, reference and circular spirals.
