A&M, one of the largest spark erosion service providers in the UK, takes on projects from the automotive, motorsport, aerospace, electronics, medical and energy sectors, in addition to all types of mouldmaking and press tool manufacture.
Investment in the latest technology has been a key component in A&M’s success, with the site now containing more than 30 CNC machines — the majority of which are less than five years old and feature the latest in EDM, wire EDM and conventional machining technologies.
The company has used Delcam software for about five years — starting with Powershape for its data translation and design work, then adding Powermill for programming.
Key benefits of product application
- A&M said Delcam software is easy to use
- Machinists with no computer experience have been taught to program five-axis machines
- Powermill allowed A&M to deliver high quality and rapid turnaround
- A&M said Delcam’s sale staff and support team were excellent
