Embedded control products
Micro-Robotics will present a range of embedded control products on Stand N633 at National Electronics Week, which is due to be held at the NEC Pavilion in Birmingham on 12-13 April 2011.
Among the products on display will be the VM2 controller, which measures just 52 x 48mm.
The VM2 can handle analogue and digital input/output (I/O), graphical user interfaces, flash, RAM and external memory card filing systems and TCP/IP internet protocols.
Claimed to be highly efficient, even during continuous operation, the VM2 consumes only 45mA at 3.3V (149mW) and in 'idle' mode the current consumption of the standard board is 19mA (63mW).
The VM2 is supplied with the Venom2, the latest version of Micro-Robotics' high-level, multi-tasking programming language that, when used with the company's range of starter kits, allows users to develop applications quickly and easily with minimum effort and cost.
It is supplied with free development tools and lifetime technical support.
Application programs are held in battery-backed RAM for a rapid development cycle and protected in flash memory when finished.
Also on display will be the VM2 full-colour starter kit, which contains a VM2 controller, an application board, a display driver, a TFT QVGA colour display touch screen, Venom2 language, a lithium backup battery, an RS232 serial lead, a USB-to-serial adaptor and a power supply.
It is also supplied with VenomIDE, an integrated development environment (IDE) designed to help users to write Venom programs.
