Adept Scientific is offering Maplesoft’s free Maple Player app for iPad, which allows users to view Maple documents using the tablet and can be used for educational applications.
The app allows users to perform calculations and view the results, and includes a variety of calculators and conceptual explorations.
It also enables users to solve arbitrary integrals step by step, find derivatives, solve linear systems, plot functions and explore the concept of a limit.
Additionally, it can display interactive graphics for mathematical concepts such as series expansion and approximating the volume of a cylinder.
