PXI Express system expansion modules suitable for semiconductor testing
National Instruments
NI PXIe-8364 and NI PXIe-8374 PXI remote control modules
The NI PXIe-8364 and NI PXIe-8374 PXI remote control modules from National Instruments are suitable for use in a range of high-channel-count data acquisition and high-speed automated test applications including RF and semiconductor testing.
The PXI Express system expansion modules allow users to directly interface multiple PXI Express chassis to a single host computer.
In order to connect downstream and upstream PXI Express chassis the NI PXIe-8364 uses one MXI-Express link and the NI PXIe-8374 uses four. PXI modules in the downstream chassis appear as local devices in the upstream chassis.
The modules allow multiple PXI Express chassis to be connected in complex shapes such as a star, line or tree. Recommended combinations connect the NI PXIe-8364/74 modules in the upstream chassis with NI PXIe-8360/70 controllers in downstream chassis.
Additionally, as the MXI-Express links are software transparent none of the interconnections will require programming.
Key product features
- NI PXIe-8364 provides a maximum data bandwidth of 250 MB/s
- NI PXIe-8374 has a maximum data bandwidth of 1 GB/s
