BVM

LS-574 single-board computer

BVM has introduced a 5.25in (13.3cm) single-board computer for applications such as industrial control and automation, gaming machines, kiosks, medical instruments, video servers, print imaging, digital signage and other areas where heavyweight processing and high-definition (HD) video and audio are required.

The LS-574 — which is claimed to offer low power consumption without compromising on performance — is based on the QM67 chipset and features a second-generation Sandy Bridge Intel Core i7/i5/i3 mobile processor in the rPGA988B socket.

Up to 16GB DDR3 SO-DIMM 1,600MHz memory is supported and there are four 300MB/sec ATAII and two 600MB/sec ATAIII mass storage interfaces, six Gigabit LAN ports, six USB2.0 ports, four RS232 ports and one RS232/422/485 serial port.

The HD A/V includes a DVI/HDMI video port driven by a Chrontel CH7318 converter, a Realtek ALC888 7.1 HD audio codec and a legacy VGA interface.
