Arbor Technology's new Com Express Type 2 module withstands harsh industrial conditions

Arbor Technology, a provider of embedded, medical and tablet computing products, has launched a Com Express Type 2 module that is designed to withstand harsh industrial environmental conditions.
The Com-746E features a built-in Intel Atom N455 central processing unit and an ICH8M chipset, as well as soldered 2GB DDR3 memory that can prevent shock and provide stability.
The module can operate in temperatures ranging from -40°C to +85°C and so can be applied to outdoor and space-limited devices.
Key features
- One ATA and three SATA ports are provided
- Com-746E can connect with other I/O interfaces such as Com ports, USB ports, PCIe, PCI and LPC through a carrier board for further expansion
- Integration with the GMA 3150 Intel graphic engine is said to simplify the motherboard design and to keep system power consumption low
- Support is provided for VGA, 18-bit LVDS and dual independent displays
