Smartprobe JTAG in-circuit emulator
Sage Electronic Engineering has extended the capabilities of its Smartprobe JTAG in-circuit emulator to include support for the AMD A-Series Fusion APU processors and associated chipsets, including the SB900 Southbridge.
The company has also added extra functionality to the embedded development kit (EDK) integrated development environment, making it easier to view MSR and IO spaces.
The EDK will also allow the user to view multiple PCI configuration spaces simultaneously, while the new Virtual Port Capture feature allows the user to monitor output on various IO ports without a physical connection to the port.
This includes traditional debug ports, such as Port 80 or COM1(3F8), as well as other commonly inaccessible ports such as CF8, the PCI Configuration register.
