Atex support for products in explosive atmospheres
BSI British Standards
Atex support/certification services
BSI offers Atex support and certification services for products that are intended to be used in explosive atmospheres or Ex compliance via the IECEx scheme for markets outside Europe.
These include design advice, pre-assessment of products, type testing, certification and the storage of technical files that hold the data used to substantiate conformity claims.
The organisation's expertise ensures the fastest possible access to market for its clients, as delays and uncertainties are eliminated.
To provide the most responsive testing service possible, BSI works in partnership with Testing Regulatory and Compliance Laboratories (TRAC).
TRAC is a member of the IECEx scheme that aims to eliminate multiple national certification requirements.
The IECEx scheme permits BSI and TRAC to issue IECEx certification, allowing clients to obtain certificates of conformity that are accepted at national level by all participating countries.
