Autodesk software aids thermoelectric development
Autodesk
O-Flexx Technologies
O-Flexx Technologies is using 3D design and engineering software from Autodesk to develop ways of powering off-grid sensors and converting waste heat into electricity.
O-Flexx Technologies is a start-up, which claims to be working closely with technical universities and industrial partners to make a pioneering range of thermoelectric generators.
These enable the autonomous use of sensors and economic use of waste heat within logistics and industrial applications.
According to Autodesk, this is helping the industry transition from conventional energy to sustainable and renewable sources.
The Autodesk Clean Tech partner programme, which provides software for emerging clean-tech companies in North America, Europe and Japan has enabled O-Flexx to work closely with its partners on the design and engineering of this pioneering technology.
It uses Autodesk Inventor Professional in conjunction with its partners to streamline the design of the new generators.
Joining the programme has enabled O-Flexx to leverage the benefits of Digital Prototyping.
O-Flexx is also using Autodesk Vault data management software to store and manage designs and drawings, enabling it to quickly find and reuse design data and achieve more flexible and easier management of design and engineering information.
