25 November 2010 - Autodesk's Digital Prototyping Forum 2010, held at the Belfry Hotel in the West Midlands on 3 November, attracted a total of 170 CAD managers and users from across the UK.
Highlights included a joint presentation by Ortis Deley from Five's The Gadget Show and Grant Cooper from robot combat events organiser, Robo Challenge.
They explained how the programme used Autodesk software to design and manufacture a robot called 'Satan's Mutt' to take part in a battle with a Robot Wars champion.
Other key speakers included Frank Stephenson, design director, McLaren Automotive and David L! eadley, Land Instruments.
The event also featured expert advice and an in-depth product session for all delegates, explaining a complete digital design workflow from initial layout to finished product.
