Rofin produces laser welding system suitable for use in the electrical and medical industries
Rofin-Baasel
Lasag SLS 200 GX Laser
Rofin’s Lasag SLS 200 GX Laser is suitable for the laser welding of non-ferrous metals (such as copper and precious metals), electrical contacts and pace makers and for the creation of copper bonds for use in the electrical industry.
The laser uses a wavelength mix of 532nm and 1,064nm, which, according to the company, improves the absorption of the laser energy.
An initial pulse of green light is used and then its energy reduced, while infrared energy is maintained.
In addition, the unit is capable of creating welds down to 25 microns in diameter.
Key specifications
- Pulse repetition of 0.1–200Hz
- Pulse lengths of 0.1–100ms
