Safety controller protects machines or plant
OEM Automatic
Mosaic safety controller
Mosaic, from Reer, is a modular, configurable safety controller for protecting machines or plant.
The system is capable of monitoring safety circuits where, traditionally, multiple safety relays would have been used.
Mosaic comprises a master unit (M1) and a maximum of seven expansion units connected to the M1 via an internal bus system.
It is configured from a PC via the Mosaic Safety Designer (MSD) software, which has an easy and intuitive graphical interface.
The system is capable of monitoring several safety devices, including safety sensors, light curtains, laser scanners, mechanical switches, non-contact safety switches, safety mats, emergency stops and two-hand controls.
Simple and easy programming software, coupled with a reduction in the number of components required, means faster installation and the possibility of transferring a programme to duplicate machines or systems if required.
It also means that the safety system is tamperproof.
