Pressurex ensures moulds are sealed and aligned

Pressurex film
Pressurex is a thin and flexible plastics film that instantly captures and permanently records pressure distribution and magnitude between any two mating or contacting surfaces.
Pressurex conforms to curvaceous surfaces and is available in sheets or rolls that can be cut to size.
After being clamped up and placed around the parting line of a mould, Pressurex reveals whether the pressure is evenly distributed on the parting line.
Pressurex reveals pressure from 2 - 43,200 lb/in2 (0.14 - 3,000kg/cm2) and is available in eight different pressure ranges, with medium and high pressure being the most commonly used for injection moulding applications.
When placed between two contacting surfaces, the film instantly and permanently changes colour, directly proportional to the actual pressure applied.
Precise pressure magnitude is easily determined by comparing the resultant colour intensity with a colour correlation chart.
Pressurex is a suitable troubleshooting tool for flash, burns and other parting line issues.
Pressurex can be used in injection moulding, injection-blow, injection-compression, gas assist, water assist or any moulding where mating metal surfaces are an issue.
While the temperature parameters of Pressurex indicate an operating temperature of 5 to 35C, which is suitable for testing metal moulds, it has been used at temperatures exceeding 149C for brief periods.
Pressurex also determines tactile surface pressure distribution and magnitude in clamping, bolted joints, tooling, composites, lamination presses, nips of rollers, gaskets, heat sealing and scores of other industrial uses.
