Huntsman Advanced Materials has introduced an impact-resistant casting system for applications such as foundry patterns, core boxes, conveyor rollers, machinery parts and assembly jigs.
The Rencast 6425A/5425B system — formulated without DE-DDM — is claimed to offer excellent abrasion resistance, a high level of toughness, good chemical resistance, high tear resistance and high elongation.
Its ability to withstand moisture also makes it suitable for thin-layer applications.
Designed to be simple to process at room temperature owing to its low viscosity, the Rencast 6425A/5425B offers good pot life and excellent flow characteristics.
