Modular Dock Loading Pods optimise warehouse space

The Dock Loading Pods are complete loading-bay enclosures that install directly onto buildings, efficiently marshalling warehouse space.

In addition, an insulated housing provides a seal between the pod and vehicle, minimising heat loss and ensuring hygiene and safety.

The Dock Loading Pods are suitable for new buildings, extensions and building refurbishments.

They are complete, self-contained units with minimum construction requirements; each unit is purpose-designed to provide the maximum flexibility in size and layout.

This allows the construction to be tailored to suit an ambient building just as easily as a temperature-controlled store - the concept is the same.

The Dock Loading Pod comprises a robust steel frame, clad with insulated panels, mounted on a steel base prepared for one of Sara's hydraulically operated dock levellers with hinged or telescopic lip.

At the front of the Dock Loading Pod is the insulated housing with dock seal, which can be one of four types: rigid, retractable, inflatable (touch seal) or foam (compression seal).

Mounted on the rear of the pod is the thermal barrier; usually an insulated roller shutter door, or for maximum energy efficiency, one of Sara's insulated sectional overhead doors.

These doors are electrically operated and sequenced with the dock leveller and traffic-light system to produce a tailored, systemised loading-bay solution.

Control of the Dock Loading Pods is simplified by a single integrated control box for door, dock leveller and dock seal (where applicable), which can be located in any convenient position.

In addition, traffic lights, wheel guides, buffers, bollards and internal lights are also available as options, to enable customisation to individual customer requirements.

Because the Dock Loading Pods are modular but tailored, delivery and installation is quick and without fuss.
