The Impact 100Ω orthogonal direct connector system from Molex enables the direct connection of printed circuit boards using one daughtercard, and is suitable for use in data, telecommunications, medical and networking applications.
The unit supports 25Gbps data rates, and offers two compliant-pin attach options and 18–72 differential pairs per orthogonal node.
Its three-through six-pair configurations also feature a range of options for the PCB and mating interface.
According to the company, the system reduces airflow, cross-talk and capacitance constraints in high-speed channels.
The Impact direct connector system is designed to meet IEEE 10GBASE-KR and Optical Internetworking Forum Stat Eye Compliant channel performance requirements.
