Labfacility is offering a range of thermocouple connectors and cables.
The connectors are designed and manufactured under ISO EN 9000:2000 disciplines and offer full compliance to IEC and CENELEC specifications.
The cables are available to end users worldwide through RS Components and Farnell.
Key information
Thermocouple connectors
- ANSI, DIN and JIS colour coding is available on request
- Contacts are made from thermocouple material or copper
- Calibration types J, K, T, N, E, R and S are offered
- Uncompensated connectors B (grey) and Cu (white) are also available for use with resistance thermometers
- Terminal cable clamping plates are supplied
- Polarised pins ensure the correct polarity
- Three-pin versions are offered
- Four-pin miniature versions are suitable for thermocouples and resistance thermometers
Thermocouple cables
- Types E, J, K, N, T, U and Vx are available
- There is a wide range of insulations and configurations
- The cables are colour coded to IEC 584-3
- Alternative colours to BS1843, ANSI, DIN and JIS are available
- An extension cable – designated X – can be used for producing a thermocouple junction and for joining thermocouples to their measuring instruments
- A compensating cable can only be used in limited ambient temperatures, generally not higher than 80°C
- Alternative types of screened cable construction are available and these include the use of copper or mylar screening
- Twisted-pair configurations are offered and these can incorporate screening as required
