CmX range of servomotor connectors
ITT Cannon has introduced a range of small two-in-one servomotor connectors for applications such as factory automation, material handling, industrial motion control and robotics.
Designed as a replacement for two circular connectors, the design of the CmX range only requires half the length, one third of the height and half the weight to house the same components as conventional circular connectors, according to the company.
The CmX range is said to enable quick and easy installation in just four steps and includes a new clamp technology, minimising the space required for cable strain relief, shielding and sealing components.
All CmX series connectors are completely sealed to IP67 and shielded; in addition, they are resistant to vibration and shock.
Key information
- CmX devices are offered in three sizes to fit the various flange size diameters and to meet the power requirements of the servomotors currently on the market.
- Each connector size features varied dimensions for power cable entry and power connectors while the feedback cable entry and feedback connector dimensions remain similar across the range.
- Part of the CmX servomotor connector range, Cm2 connectors are available in low- and high-voltage versions.
- Modified Cm3 devices are available in a standard version featuring one power connector and two signal contacts plus a 2x power version for higher power ratings.
- All CmX series connectors meet the DIN EN61984 safety compliance requirements.
