Fraser Anti-Static has recommended installing a 1250-S static eliminator bar to solve static problems in the sleeving process.
The productivity of sleeving machines is badly affected by static electricity in the sleeve film.
As the tube of film is cut and opened during the process a static charge is regenerated and the film misbehaves by sticking together or to the bottle.
Fraser recommends installing a 1250-S static eliminator bar to neutralise the sides of the sleeve as they are opened.
Ideally they should be within 50mm of the opened sleeve.
The positioning of the bar is key to the effectiveness of the solution.
Fraser can offer detailed advice on this.
Once neutralised, the sleeve should open without problem, increasing efficiencies while reducing wastage, rework and downtime.
