Fume extraction unit from Purex protects workers from harmful soldering gases
Purex
Fumesafe fume extraction unit
The Fumesafe fume extraction unit from Purex has been designed to protect solderers from inhaling dangerous solder flux fumes, without cooling the soldering tips.
According to the company, the inhalation of the gases that make up soldering fumes can result in serious complaints such as occupational asthma, long-term carcinogenic diseases and damage and irritation to the respiratory tract.
The Fumesafe unit can extract fumes from up to 15 soldering irons and features an auto-sensing dual-voltage blower (230-120V).
Gases are extracted using an activated carbon filter and a sub-micronic filter, which removes 99.997 per cent of particles down to 0.3 microns.
