Baldor offers permanent magnet-based AC motors suitable for cooling towers
Baldor
RPM AC series of motors
Baldor’s RPM AC series of permanent magnet-based AC motors is suitable for automotive testing stands, extruders, winders/unwinders, metal forming and bending machinery, machine tool/spindle applications, cooling towers and the replacement of square frame DC motors.
Units in the series offer a low rotor inertia and high power density, and can provide constant torque performance from zero to base speed for use with closed loop PM AC drives.
The AC PM motors’ efficiency performance exceeds IE3 levels, due to magnets embedded within the rotor laminations that enable the devices to run cooler.
The PM rotors also enable the motors to operate at speeds of up to 12,000RPM, using the PM AC drives.
