IMO gives Jaguar discount on scrappage scheme
IMO Precision Controls
Drives Scrappage Scheme
From January 2010, IMO will operate a Drives Scrappage Scheme, allowing customers to swap new for old at a reduced cost while ensuring that the scrapped drives will be responsibly disposed of.
The initiative will make customers eligible for a discount when they trade in an existing drive for a high-performance, variable-speed drive from IMO's Jaguar range.
There are no restrictions on the age, condition or manufacturer of the old drive and the discount applies to the purchase of any drive greater than 2.2kW from the company's single- and three-phase CUB, VXR and VXG Jaguar range.
The technology is designed to help engineers to more easily optimise energy savings, reduce emissions and increase overall efficiency.
Jaguar's energy-saving payback is typically between 12-18 months, which is combined with a five-year warranty from IMO.
By taking advantage of the scheme, customers will experience the full benefits of Jaguar technology, as well as gaining direct access to IMO's in-house drive knowledge and expertise.
Offering varying functionality and power options up to 710kW, the portfolio is suitable for a range of drive applications, from small woodworking machines and conveyors to materials handling, packaging, food processing and textile machines.
IMO has a dedicated website for the initiative, which will explain how customers can take part in the scheme, offer help with financing options available through Energy Efficiency Loans from the Carbon Trust and enable customers with a request to order a drive online.
