Thomson profile rails suitable for industrial automation and pick-and-place applications
Thomson
400 series ball-guided profile rails
Thomson has extended its range of linear guides with the addition of the 400 series ball-guided profile rails for industrial automation and pick-and-place applications.
Installation sizes and hole patterns have been adjusted to meet general industry standards, which means that the 400 series can be used as a direct replacement for existing systems.
As a result, this profile rail can be used as a replacement in all applications for medium loads without incurring additional costs for design or modification work, according to Thomson.
Key benefits
- The ball tracks, positioned at an angle of 45° to each other, ensure precise alignment, making installation easy
- They also offer even loading rates in all directions, meaning that these systems can be used in a range of applications
- The recirculating ball bearing made from polymer plastic keeps a noise to a minimum when the system is running
- The scraper ensures that lubricant does not escape outside the unit
- The 413 design with ball chain is said to guarantee even quieter operation
- Simple installation is ensured, as is increased accuracy with continuous rails of up to 4m
- Smooth, low-noise movement is also ensured thanks to integrated and sprayed recirculating ball bearings and optimised geometry
- Increased lubricant service life is guaranteed due to the lubrication pockets integrated in the recirculating ball bearing
