SKF has announced that it will be using an upgraded series of standalone machine systems to manufacture customised seals.
According to the company, its latest equipment will enable it to provide customers with a faster service, cutting costs and production times and increasing flexibility.
The system features high-speed CNC lathes — designed and built in-house — with digital controls, and can produce seals in a range of sizes up to a diameter of 600mm.
SKF has a network of service centres across the country, including regional locations close to key markets.
Products can be manufactured from a range of polymers, and profiles saved on a database enable easy of access and modification.
