James Walker has launched the Walkersele D8, a rotary lip seal that is designed to protect bearings on industrial and marine plants operating at pressure differentials up to 150kPa/1.5bar (21.75psi) or shaft speeds to 25m/sec (4,922fpm).
Typical applications include steel mills, processing plants and marine propulsion units.
Key specifications
- Lip geometry provides flexibility with low lip loading to accommodate shaft eccentricity of up to 3mm TIR, depending on shaft diameter and speed
- Works at a maximum pressure differential of 150kPa/1.5bar (21.75psi)
- Can operate at shaft speeds up to 15m/sec (2,953fpm) in standard nitrile rubber/cotton fabric materials, or up to 25m/sec (4,922fpm) in fluoroelastomer/aramid-glass fabric materials
- Supplied in endless form and as Walkersele OSJ
- Standard sizes range from 60mm to 2,000mm shaft diameters, with larger sizes available to order
