James Walker rotary lip seal protects bearings on industrial and marine plants

James Walker has launched the Walkersele D8, a rotary lip seal that is designed to protect bearings on industrial and marine plants operating at pressure differentials up to 150kPa/1.5bar (21.75psi) or shaft speeds to 25m/sec (4,922fpm).

Key specifications

  • Lip geometry provides flexibility with low lip loading to accommodate shaft eccentricity of up to 3mm TIR, depending on shaft diameter and speed
  • Works at a maximum pressure differential of 150kPa/1.5bar (21.75psi)
  • Can operate at shaft speeds up to 15m/sec (2,953fpm) in standard nitrile rubber/cotton fabric materials, or up to 25m/sec (4,922fpm) in fluoroelastomer/aramid-glass fabric materials
  • Supplied in endless form and as Walkersele OSJ
  • Standard sizes range from 60mm to 2,000mm shaft diameters, with larger sizes available to order
