Slurries from mining processes involve the transferring of slurries that are highly abrasive and corrosive.

Verderflex initially supplied the company with a few of its peristaltic hose pumps, as they feature a reinforced hose and are resistant to the abrasion of slurry particles.

As the client was satisfied with their performance it has now installed many more of the VF50 models for use as a long-term system for slurries pumping.

Key benefits of product application

  • Efficient in transferring slurries
  • Require minimal maintenance, as the hose — which is the main part of the pump that comes into contact with the slurries — has a long life
  • Hose is easy to replace
