When Bobruisk IPH Nepogodin — a printing house from the Republic of Belarus — purchased an Edale Gamma printing system, Edale went to Cole-Parmer for a pumping system that would suit its client’s specification.

It needed to be able to pump ink and fit with the 430mm-wide printing system. Additionally, the Gamma only requires a small amount of ink to be pumped into the ink tray, so the company required a pump with a low and adjustable flow rate. As some colours of ink are more viscous than others, the pump would need to be able to cope with long print runs.

In the past, Edale used ink pump units with a built-in motor and controls. However, the client wanted to improve accessibility and operator safety by having the pump-control unit positioned next to the print station’s touchscreen.

Cole-Parmer recommended the Masterflex L/S variable-speed modular drives and the Masterflex L/S Easy-Load II pump heads for use in the printing system.
