The AGENT E 3000 programme from EMKA offers multiple possible levels of security for standalone data cabinets. It is suitable for single cabinet locking and access logging or for a number of individual cabinets administered separately in a data centre where the infrared key fob operation enables multiple authorised access and logging of identity if required.
Central network wireless control, coupled with RFID transponder swipe card technology, adds higher levels of security to EMKA’s programme 3000 AGENT E battery-powered electronically controlled swinghandles for data cabinet protection.
EMKA has introduced its LAN-based Control Cockpit real-time cabinet security software for electronic locking and monitoring (ELM) systems.
EMKA has added the BioLock with integral fingerprint reader to its electronic locking and monitoring range. The BioLock is used to provide a high level of security for the protection of valuable data in compliance with PCI, SOX, SSAE 16 and HIPAA in support of EN 50600.
There have been several breaches of security at high-profile institutions in recent times, and almost every day brings a new story of how a building has been compromised and critical data or hardware destroyed or stolen. Data centre operators have long understood the need for physical access control on server cabinets. There are many ways of securing data centres, and many solutions have evolved over time to address access control at doors and server cabinets.
