Southco claims the D8’s key features are its oriented head-to-cam feature, precision fit, quick assembly, smooth feel, improved aesthetics, superior strength and improved ergonomics.
There is a choice of stud sizes and receptacle styles, including clip-on, self-clinching, front-loaded, rivet-on, side mount and front mount.
According to Southco, the D8 has a better tolerance on varying panel/multi-panel thicknesses when compared with rival quarter-turn fasteners on the market.
