Roemheld has extended its rotor lock range to offer modular components that can operate in extreme conditions across all industries. Originally designed for use during the maintenance of on- and offshore wind power plants, the hydraulic and electro-mechanical components have since been used successfully in the medical and sheet metal forming industries and in applications including freeze-drying plants in the food industry and as door locks in amphibian vehicles.
Roemheld has launched an electronic pressure sensor that offers stationary and mobile measurement of rotating or hard-to-reach sections of hydraulic clamping fixtures. Said to be ideal for applications where wired connections are impractical or too expensive, the sensor uses radio transmission with a free-field range of up to 300m.
Roemheld has introduced rotor locks that are designed to deliver increased availability and simplified maintenance to wind power plants. A special coating prevents the locking bolt from rusting when not in use for a long period and non-contact position monitoring avoids mechanical wear and extends the life of the component.
Carbide inserts have recently been introduced for the Hilma MC 100 series vices and jaws from Roemheld, which enable end users to hold concentric components on just 3mm in a vice.
Roemheld is set to launch a new generation of hydraulic clamps, electromechanical clamping elements and the latest in magnetic clamping technology at Euroblech 2014.
