Vision Engineering to exhibit stereo microscope

Mantis stereo microscope
Vision Engineering will present its Mantis stereo microscope at the Manufacturing Technology Scotland show, which is scheduled to take place on 11-12 November at the SECC in Glasgow.
Now incorporating a high-resolution camera, it allows users to capture images for reporting, cataloguing and communicating with colleagues and customers.
A key feature of these machines is the patented Dynascope viewer, which enables operators to retain any normal spectacles or contact lens they might wear.
The company claims that the viewer contributes to fatigue-free viewing by eliminating the constant switching between glasses and the microscope.
Vision Engineering will also be showcasing its Falcon video-based three-axis measuring system at the event.
Accurate measurements in the X, Y and Z axes can be achieved with high levels of repeatability for all critical dimensions.
The indexed camera and quadrant illumination allow the system to be adapted to measuring a variety of features on components.
