Sensor modules handle high currents

IMC and IMS sensor modules
The IMS-B-R0001 sensor module is intended for use in larger measurement systems such as current measurement devices or battery management systems.
Isabellenhutte Heusler's IMC and IMS sensor modules have been developed for applications in which large currents, voltages and temperatures have to be measured with high precision.
The calibrated IMC sensor module (IMC-A-R0001) is designed for direct current and voltage measurement via a 3.3 or 5V RS 232 interface.
The assembly can be used as a component of measurement systems such as current measurement devices, data loggers or battery management systems.
It is especially suitable for lithium-ion batteries.
The current measurement is performed via a 100uohm shunt.
The Isabellenhutte's ISAASIC 16bit data registration system is used to register the measured values.
The IMC can perform measurements within a current range of 0 to 1500A with a resolution of 50mA and within a voltage range of +/-20V with a resolution of 1mV.
Other current ranges can be attained by use of different shunts.
The IMS-B-R0001 sensor module is also intended for use in larger measurement systems such as current measurement devices or battery management systems.
Here too, it has been designed specifically for lithium-ion systems.
The current measurement is performed via a 100uohm shunt.
The Isabellenhutte's 16bit data registration system ISAASIC is used to register the measured values.
The IMS can perform measurements within a current range up to 1500A with a resolution of 50mA and within a voltage range of +/-30V with a resolution of 1mV.
In contrast to conventional current measurement systems, the specified precision can also be attained, taking account of all conditions such as linearity errors, offsets and temperature effects.
The scope of implementation covers alternating current drives, AC/DC power control, rectifiers, power convertors, direct and alternating current rectifiers, energy measurement, battery control for hybrid drives and electric vehicles, and fuel cell control.
