SFH 4258S/4259S Power Topled infrared LED
Rutronik is offering Osram Opto Semiconductors’ SFH 4258S/4259S Power Topled infrared LED with lens, which is suitable for infrared illumination in CCTV and camera-based gaming applications within the commercial sector.
The unit uses a thin-film chip that features two p-n junctions that are grown on top of one another, which the company says results in a higher optical output than standard versions of the infrared LED.
The Power Topled can be used a direct replacement for the standard version, and shares the same package dimensions so that it will not affect existing designs.
It requires an operating current of 70mA, produces an optical output of 80mW and emits at a wavelength of 850nm.
Additionally, it is offered with beam angles of ±15° (SFH 4258S) and ±25° (SFH 4259S).
