Amplicon Liveline has been selected as the UK factory authoriseddistributor for Acromag, the US-based manufacturer of measurementand control products for process and automation.
The company nowsupplies Acromag's complete range of distributed I/O andsignal conditioning modules, offering high quality measurements, high performance, high-density packaging, and cost-competitivepricing.
Amplicon has previously offered the popular A5B modules, and with the addition of the BusWorks distributed I/O range, nowgives customers access to a greatly expanded network capability, improved performance, and lower costs per channel.
The latestBusWorks series brings Ethernet communications, built in webpages, and Internet browser configuration with 15 differentmodels that accept signals from a number of different sensors anddevices.
Measurement of variables such as temperature, voltageand current is possible, while analogue output and digital I/Omodules complete the range.
The Intellipack 800 and 600 seriesoffer a variety of signal conditioning modules which provideanalogue output signals to use with control systems and otheranalogue input devices.
Both the BusWorks series and Intellipack800 series modules are PC programmable, whereas the 600 series ofsignal conditioning modules uses the internal microprocessor forauto or DIP-switch configuration.
All microprocessor based modelsprovide high accuracy and stability and low-noise with 16bitsigma-delta A/D convertors.
High reliability and failsafeoperation is ensured with watchdog timers provided on alldistributed I/O modules for network communications.
Theinstruments are packaged in compact, space saving casings just1in wide, which easily stack together and are DIN rail mountable.Every module has a 5 year warranty and is available from Ampliconon a 7 day delivery service.
John Hayward, Amplicon's DataAcquisition Product Manager commented: "We are pleased to beable to offer our customers such a high quality range of productsthat haven't previously been available to the UK"."Acromag is a leading manufacturer in this area and weexpect a high level of interest in the BusWorks range"."We are extremely pleased to have formed this partnershipwith Amplicon to market our products", added Donald Lupo,Director of Marketing and Sales for Acromag, "With theirexpertise in this area we feel they are an ideal distributor forus in the UK".
