Quantaurus-QY instrument measures the properties of photo-luminescent materials

Hamamatsu Photonics

Quantaurus-QY

Hamamatsu Photonics has introduced the new Quantaurus series of compact instruments for measuring the properties of photo-luminescent materials such as fluorescent probes, LED phosphors, organic metal complexes, OLED materials and quantum dots.

The new Quantaurus-QY is a compact system for measuring the absolute quantum yield of light-emitting materials in thin-film, powder, solid or liquid form.

Analysis includes absolute quantum yield measurement, excitation wavelength dependence, photoluminescence spectrum, photoluminescence excitation spectrum and colour co-ordinates.

Key specifications

  • Does not require known reference samples
  • Standard model (C11347-11) covers wavelengths from 300 to 950nm
  • NIR model (C11347-12) is suitable for measurements from 400 to 1,100nm
  • Liquids can be cooled down to -196°C
