Flir Systems offers thermal imager suitable for applications such as mechanical inspections
Flir Systems
Flir I-series thermal imager
The I-series thermal imager from Flir is suitable for use in harsh industrial and building environments — as well as for HVAC, electrical and mechanical inspections, operations within manufacturing and applications involving energy management.
The series is made up of three robust models that are ingress protection rated to IP43 and have withstood a 2m drop test onto a hard surface with no detrimental effect.
The cameras have been designed for entry-level users and feature a focus-free lens that, according to the company, is easy to apply. Depending on the model the devices also come with analysis tools such as spot meters, areas and isotherms.
Thermal images — into which temperature data is automatically embedded — are stored as JPEGs either on an SD card or in the camera’s internal memory. Additionally, the units are offered with Flir Tools 2.0 software that enables images to be exported to a PC, analysed and formulated into a report.
Flir I-series cameras can also be upgraded to include Flir Reporter software, which gives more advanced reporting abilities.
