Audio Precision upgrades audio analysers with new features and hardware interface options
Audio Precision
APx500 series audio analysers
Audio Precision has released two new interface options for its APx500 series audio analysers: one for measuring audio over Bluetooth and the other featuring Audio Return Channel (ARC) for measuring ARC audio in HDMI 1.4a devices.
Version 2.8 of the APx500 software, which is free to download from the company’s website, has also been released, bringing support for the new interfaces, audio measurements and feature improvements.
The APx Bluetooth option has a built-in Bluetooth radio and stack that allow engineers to measure their Bluetooth devices directly, eliminating the uncertainty, inconvenience and lack of control of third-party adaptors.
The APx HDMI option includes the Audio Return Channel (ARC), part of the HDMI 1.4a specification, which allows two-way audio over a single HDMI cable, eliminating the need for a separate audio cable to route TV audio to the receiver.
