Versaperm meter measures gas permeability

Versaperm

Permeability meter

Versaperm has introduced a permeability meter for quality control.

The equipment can measure permeability for water vapour and most gases, including Hydrogen, Oxygen, CO2, solvents and hydrocarbons.

It can be used on material samples, finished products and packaging.

The instrument is highly automated, requiring little or no training to produce consistent and accurate results which, for most gasses are accurate in the parts-per-million range.

Sensitivities vary with the specific setup and sensors and applications, but are typically in the range 0.05-3200g/m2/day for water vapour.

A variety of options is available, depending on the specific application, but both single and multi-sample systems.

A range of measurement chambers and sensors can be supplied for testing samples, which can range in size from a thimble up to a pallet load.

The company also operates a laboratory service to measure permeability for companies where the volume or logistics of measurements does not demand a dedicated instrument.
