Emerson offers wireless acoustic transmitter suitable for monitoring pressure relief valves
Emerson Process Management
Rosemount 708 wireless acoustic transmitter
The Rosemount 708 wireless acoustic transmitter from Emerson Process Management is designed for use in processing plants for the monitoring of steam traps and pressure relief valves.
The device uses temperature measurement and acoustic ‘listening’ to provide information on the state of steam traps and pressure relief valves.
It can alert operators within a second if a pressure relief valve opens, and its time-stamped alerts can be compared against process conditions or environmental reporting in order to identify the cause of a release.
The Rosemount 708 uses a non-intrusive WirelessHART monitoring system, which enables monitoring in remote and hard-to-reach locations throughout a plant. It also provides real-time alerts on the areas that need attention.
