Kistler Instruments offers data logger suitable for longitudinal vehicle testing
Kistler Instruments
CDS-GPS data logger
Kistler Instruments is supplying the Corrsys-Datron CDS-GPS data logger, which features a built-in global positioning system (GPS) and is suitable for applications such as longtitudinal vehicle testing — including braking tests, acceleration and deceleration tests, fuel consumption assessments, tire validation, ABS brake testing, irregular brake-force balance monitoring and the testing of other vehicle electronic control systems — and extended transversal vehicle dynamics testing.
The data logger has an update range of 100Hz with GPS signal output via CANbus, is quick and easy to mount onto vehicles, and is compatible with other sensors in the Corrsys-Datron range.
It can provide measurements of absolute speed, travelled distance, latitudinal and longitudinal position, height, time and date, as well as system status information such as the number of satellites and signal quality.
Additionally, units are programmed with pre-defined driving manoeuvres for longtitudinal dynamic measurements.
