SKF Microlog Inspector
SKF’s Microlog Inspector is an inspection system that can be incorporated into operator driven reliability (ODR) programs in order to increase productivity and cut energy costs, as well as supporting tasks such as work scheduling, meeting regulatory and safety requirements, documenting inspection data for compliance reporting and audits.
ODR programs enable operators to monitor machines’ conditions, manage workflows, track safety and make regulatory inspections. According to the company, this cuts down on energy usage.
The Microlog Inspector system from SKF automates paperless inspection routines and features alarm indicators that alert users to abnormal conditions.
It can be installed onto most Windows Mobile portable devices, as well as multiple devices within an organisation.
Additionally, it is compatible with the Aptitude Monitoring Suite — enabling the in-depth analysis and communication of machine conditions between operators, maintenance, engineers and plant management. Customised reports can be created that identify issues such as out-of-compliance machines or points in alarm.
Key features
- Specific inspection rounds can be downloaded directly to the operator
- Data can be transferred over LAN, WiFi and cellular data networks such as 3G and GPRS
- Other SKF portable and online condition monitoring systems are available for integration
- Aptitude offers compliance reporting and scheduling
