Materials testing for plastics and rubber industry

Lloyd Instruments

Materials-testing machines

Lloyd Instruments will be showing the latest instruments from its range of materials-testing machines, Davenport polymer test equipment and Chatillon force-measuring equipment at K'2010.

This range of instrumentation provides the plastics and rubber industry with materials-testing capabilities throughout the manufacturing cycle, from the evaluation of raw product to the testing of finished product and all stages in between.

For versatile materials testing to 10kN (2,248lbf), the LR10KPlus twin-column materials tester, equipped with an EX800Plus contacting extensometer, will be on show, together with the Chatillon TCD110 Series Digital Force Tester for testing to 500N (110lbf).

A range of hand-held mechanical and digital force gauges can also be seen.

Davenport polymer test equipment on display will include the PETPlus Intrinsic Viscosity (IV) measurement instrument for measuring the intrinsic viscosity of PET bottles, pre-forms and reground material for recycling and the MFI-10 melt-flow indexer - a modular system for the determination of the melt-flow properties of a polymer.
