White paper: the benefits of offering rental options on sensing and detection equipment
Sensor Technology
‘Pay as you sense’ white paper
In this white paper, Mark Ingham of Sensor Technology discusses the importance of equipment rentals in helping companies supplying sensors and detection equipment to overcome the hurdle of finding capital to fund development and verification projects.
Typical projects include the verification or reverification of a product range to an international standard, the development of a different-sized unit within a product range to address an emerging market requirement, the modification of a design or an entirely new development.
According to Ingham, Sensor Technology already has a rental option in place for its Torqsense range of torque sensors. Potential users can choose to rent the equipment, rather than purchase it, thus avoiding the bottleneck of raising capital purchase approval.
He said that renting is a popular option. For instance, many of the company’s customers are working on a project where they need to measure torque, but when they are finished they will no longer have any requirement for the Torqsense equipment.
