Premo Hall-effect sensors feature input reference pin

Premo

DSR5 Hall-effect sensors

Premo has launched the DSR5 range of Hall-effect sensors with input reference pin, designed for a single supply voltage of 5V.

The DSR5 range is a close-loop technology component in a small package for THT mounting.

Primary winding allows the measurement of DC, AC and pulse currents on PCBs.

The external pin allows access to the internal reference (2.5V) and can be used as an output or input signal to be used by microcontrollers.

This series has been designed for nominal currents of 6, 15, 25 and 50A.

The multi-pin configuration allows a different range of nominal currents by connecting one, two or three pins in the primary winding.

Key product specifications

• Compliant with industrial standards including: isolated plastic case recognised according to UL94-V0; EN 60947-1:2004; EN 60950-1:2001; and EN 50178:1998

• Fully isolated with plastic housing, meeting isolation values higher than 3,000VAC

• Output signal centred at 2.5V with output voltage of ±0.625V at nominal input currents; design allows detection of currents up to three times nominal current

• Linearity of <0.1 per cent with ±0.7 per cent accuracy levels

• Bandwidth up to 150kHz with response time less than 0.5us

• Offset drift temperature 0.3 per cent mV/ºC

• Consumption of circuit is 20mA at no-current condition
